Nice zoo shot, I think? The grass doesn't really look like Africa. You captured a very interesting moment, really hold the attention. Did you add the vignetting?? Nice job if you did, helps here.
refocus (andy kämpf) said 6 months ago:
Hey Beamer, thanks for your comment.
and yes your are right. Of course it's a zoo shot ;-) I guess it's really hard to make such a shot in wilderness ;-) And yes, i've added some slight vignetting on it.
All the best
Andy

The vignette definitely works, and I like the moment you captured. Can't really say too much.

Normally I'm not a fan of colourkey-pctures, but this is great. It has a very striking impression.

Stunnig picture. the tones and selective coloring works very well here!

Great subject, composition and contrast! Well done!
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 6 months ago:
Beautiful, the inclusion of the "extra" object in the left half of frame is a bit distracting. The image would probably be stronger without. It would be a difficult clone job given the silky nature of the sky behind. My real complaint is the blown out highlights, especially behind the large foreground cross. Do you shoot raw? If so then you should be able to get the details back from this area and "multiply" them back in.
Overall, this is a striking image and I am glad you shared it!
AnaGaztelu (Ana Gaztelu) said 6 months ago:
Gracias a todos por las críticas y comentarios.
Clyde: Ahora hago todas mis fotos en RAW y la diferencia es notable. Intentaré arreglar esta toma como me indicas. Gracias de nuevo.
Hasta pronto.

I echo all of the above comments. Amazing texture and composition.
CouCou33 (Ingrid) added a critique 6 months ago:
I really like the composition and the expression as well as the details.
I would have added a little bit of contrast and of sharpenese to get a little more depth to the picture though.

Some good things here to be sure - the nose, however,is too dominant and takes away from the eyes - and these are some great eyes!
Best,
Jon

All the best
Andy!
Pretty nice. I like the processing job, although there might be a few minor areas that could use a little finessing, but overall it makes a picture that might otherwise seem boring stand out.
