Stunning...powerful... I love it in B&W. I agree that it does show the wild cat inside a domestic. beautiful
warreagle (Amy Warr) added a critique 2 months ago:
from the thumbnail i thought it was a wild cat. nice capture

How did you make the cat sit still and not sniff at the lens or something? Great shot.

I'm pretty sure this image is straight, it may not feel like it and I understand that may be more important. The spirit levels on my tripod head were level and straight. The houses have straight verticals and the bit of brighter beach that you can see near the left edge of the shot is straight. I will check the hi-res again tonight. Thanks all for the comments.

Just thought the strange color was a purposeful choice, but hey, I am often wrong. Is this a yellow tree in front of yellow buildings? How do you scan your negatives? Do you adjust color balance during scanning or after?
selaux (Sarah) added a critique 2 months ago:
very human-like. almost like legs intertwined! nice.

on dirait un faux arbre de ciment
luan (Luan Huynh) added a critique 2 months ago:
I think the picture would have been great if you could get the tree to be in sharper focus, and moved to the left a bit so that the background is darker.
boyd added a critique 2 months ago:
I think that this has potential, but I agree that there could be a slightly different composition could strengthen the image and that the colour temp does tend to distract one slightly from an interesting subject. It is nice and grainless, what gear and film did you use?

The image itself is awesome. The watermark is really disturbing however.

Lovely work on this one - enchanting - the watermark is very distracting.

This shot is lovely. Great tones, perfect symmetry, great sense of scale, perfect glassy water and you have even managed some human interest. Um, perfect...

Thanks :)
you're right for the wall, but I didn't have my polarizer with me...
By the way, it's a HDR image.
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 3 months ago:
I was going to ask if it was HDR just due to the colors.
Wonderful job with the HDR and very cool capture with the lighting!

I really like this. It could be a Columbia ad at the top of a website. I love how narrow it is and how no one is paying attention to the camera. Nice shot!

wow! looks like a painting or an animation! very interesting!
ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) added a critique 6 months ago:
Interesting processing here. A bit of Orton maybe? It does look like a painting. I personally find the trees in the background a touch dark, but that's just being a bit picky on my part. Nice image.

Nice image.
Not a huge fan of the treatment but i think the effect came out well here.

Interesting subject and great processing. Love the colors!
I also agree with Tamara that this is a very strong shot and your use of focus and framing works very well. I also like that you have used high key exposure to very good effect. Well done.
