I think it would work better if the processing was at a higher resolution, it would give a more subtle/balanced effect.

I agree with willie901. I think a darker background (a little bit) would work better, giving more importance to the cross.

Love the color, love the texture. the leaves on the ground especially draw me in. I would love to see this piece animate in some way.
