This did catch my eye. Are you versed in photoshop as I think with a little work on levels and selective exposure for sky/reflection and forground this would really stand out. My 2cents

Leading of the trench is great!

@sanders: I've just got PS (elements) om my pc, so I have a lot to figure out. Good idea to pp this one with that ps feature.
This is on my way home after work, about 10 km north of Amsterdam. Sometimes, when I go by bike, I take my camera with me becouse I know with the right wether the sky is beautiful.
Thank you for your comments.

Very nice shot.
I like the simple composition that leads you into the frame!

I like the idea, but for my taste the foreground is too dark.

@ Bastian: Well, it was almost dark. Of course, I can do some HDR-like pp but then it won't be straight-from-cam, isn't it? :)

It almost makes me feel like the left fork of the river is evil and the right fork is good, based off of the lighting. I don't see any problems with this picture, as the darkness gives it a nice realistic feel to it.

the composition is good, and i like the scene itself, although the horizon is a bit skewed. although since it's a straight from cam photo, i think it's a pretty good shot. thanks for sharing.

Nice shot Tamara. Typical Dutch! And indeed "straight from cam". Try to "HDR" it a bit and submit it again to the "HDR" pool ;)
