This wonderful guy lives at our summer ranch in Colorado. It's kind of a long story, but my wife and I found him while hiking on one of the back trails. He was just a baby... sickly and almost dead. We nursed him back to health over many months. After he was healthy enough we drove him far away in our beat-up old Jeep and set him free. Amazingly, he was able to find us again and to this day he never goes very far away from our property. We decided to name him Leland.
Actually, everything I just said is a complete fabrication. None of it is true. We have no ranch, no Jeep, and I'm pretty sure my wife and I have never even gone hiking together. The true story is much less interesting, so I'll spare you the details.
Sometimes it's fun not to know things, because you get to make up whatever you want!

I am making this a favorite.
Not only is this a wonderful photograph, but the story is entertaining too. ;)

Nice colors, subject and vintaging. The main problem with this photo is lapse of white on the head and back of the goat!

BTW, You have made a great site... it is pitty that there isn't a lot of photographers!

Beautiful muted colors... The blurriness really works here for some reason.
pageextent (matt mangan) said 2 years ago:
Great muted colors! did you achieve the blur in camera or in photoshop? Love it.
zora (Javier Sánchez) said 2 years ago:
I achieved it right in camera, Pageextent. I used a Holga 120 CFN. Thanks for the comment!

what I really like of this photo is the point of view, is so different, I like a lot.
ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 2 years ago:
This was taken with a Mamiya C330 on expired film.
kitaoka (Mark Kitaoka) said 2 years ago:
Arne, what are the dots on the vertical right hand side of the image?
ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 2 years ago:
The marks seem to match the pressure plate from the camera. I shoot expired film - maybe that is the issue.

Really like this shot a lot Arne. Great colors and a nice subject too.

The door leaning to the right keeps drawing my attention.
chaba (David Chabashvili) added a critique 2 years ago:
The angle and wide lens distorts the architectural details not in a favorable way. Maybe another angle?
Blumie (Sabine) said 2 years ago:
Thanks a lot you two for taking the time. The next time I will try another angle, but thats not easy - parked cars ...
PixelMix (Graeme Warren) added a critique 2 years ago:
Nice shot - a change from the usual angle, but as mentioned, it would be cool if you could get a straight on shot some time too.
zora (Javier Sánchez) added a critique 2 years ago:
It seems that there are elements that obstruct the spectator appreciation. I would have liked better a much more near shot.
He looks like he has been partying all night. Lol.
